I'm in the market for a shop in Western Canada to do a laundry list of work on my truck.

I've done the research and came to the conclusion that I just don't have the time/tools/shop space/energy to complete the list myself.

Truck is an 06 F350 with 130,000 kms on thew clock. Zero performance mods up until this point. I do have a 4" TB exhaust system to install as well as a cooler air intake system also uninstalled.

I'm looking for a reputable shop in Western Canada with a lot of experience with these engines. I'll be the first to admit that I may not have all of the answers, so I'd like a shop whose judgement I can trust.

Truck has recently thrown an underboost code. I have cleaned EGR valve with little/no noticeable change.

I'd like the whole bulletproof package:

EGR delete
Oil Cooler
Head Studs
SCT
Exhaust Installed
Cold Air Intake installed
Gauge package
Circulating block heater
along with any other preventative work recommended.

Basically I want to take care of all the things at once rather than nickle and diming my way through it.

I'm not at all looking for a HP machine. I'm 100% interested in longevity and mileage, if increased HP is a side effect of this so be it. This is my work truck and it spends 99% of its life on the highway. Once every year or two it might tow my RV, but even that is very rare.

Can somebody please recommend a solid shop in Western Canada with the ability and knowledge to take me through the entire ordeal? Preferably in Edmonton, Saskatoon, or Grande Prairie as these are the cities are travel through regularly.

I've been at NADP and they are very knowledgeable and very friendly, plus your not forced to wait months for your trucks mods to be completed!! Not a real fan of circulating block heaters after one screwed up and melted my rad hose. I use an oil pan heater which works great in our -35 C winters.

Thanks both of you. Also for the advice regarding the circ heater. I've never had one or chatted much to anybody about them.

My only hang up on NADP was a co-worker who had a less than stellar interaction there (nothing mechanically related, just dealing with the guys). He'd asked me not to use them and if I heard any more negative reviews about them I'd have steered clear.

Good to know it could have been more of an isolated incident. The older I get the lower my tolerance gets for dealing with knuckleheads.

I gave them a shout and they said pretty much everything I wanted to hear.

Cheers.
Kevin.

I usually find guys that say they had a bad experience with a particular business usually don't have any real facts to back it up. If someone acts like an a-hole they usually get treated like one.

Well you're probably right for the most part. *******s tend to always be "hard done by", no doubt. This guy working nights for me is about as straight of a shooter as you'll come across though. Not the kind of guy who's going to invite trouble. I'd chalk it up to some bad communication between them.

Like I said, every business is gonna have some isolated foul ups with customers. So long as it's not a pattern.

Personally I would love to find a good shop in Red Deer, or near by, XL Diesel, had been told, was an excellent shop and had decent hourly rates, Went to see them, Cummins only,
Soon as they saw me they turned me around, and directed me to the local landfill, Ahole's.

I'm in Edmonton. I steer clear of NADP because of high hourly rates, bad customer service, the know it all attitude of every employee I've talked to there, and the fact that they just want to build your truck the way they want, not the way you want. Same reason I stopped going to LaCustoms in Edmonton. Awful customer service and they don't care enough about your input. It's just in and out, doing things how they want on your truck. I've switched to Lloyd Customs within the last 2 months. Couldn't be happier so far.

I've used a small shop in edmonton for years now both personal and business. The service s great and friendly. The work is top notch, and they keep to their word for honesty and warranty. Prices are fair and modest for what I've seen.

Call Darryl at clutch and grab transmission. It's a small family owned shop, but the experience and work speaks for itself.

Lol. Forgot the number: 780-413-3170

They actually genuinely care about you and your vehicle.

( ps no I don't work for them, but they maintain my company vehicles and mine)

x3 on Lloyd Customs. A friend of mine has all his Ram 3500 work done by Collin Lloyd. I took my 2010 F350 there last November for DPF and EGR delete, 5" exhaust, level kit, Titan fuel tank, Flo-Pro air intake pipe (and Collin modified the front rad bracket just perfect) and H&S MiniMax install (before the EPA ruling... thankfully... I think I had the last DPF-delete friendly unit in Edmonton). Collin goes out of his way on the small details to make sure you're real happy with the results. My truck runs awesome. My mileage while towing the 5th wheel has increased by about 20%.
