Does anyone know about the John Deere Plus II 15w40 engine oil!? Is it cheap? Does it work well in summer/winter? Runs good? How many miles before you have to change!? Anyone know? Thanks! :icon_ford: :woot:

I used to run it in my Cummins, not my PSD. It has a API CJ-4 cert so it will work fine in a PSD. Where are you located? How cold does it get in the winter?

I ran 15w40, usually delo or delvac depending on which was on sale, year round in Mass for 5000-7500 miles. If you live in Canada then a 10w30 or 5w40 might be a better idea.

The 10w30 version of the JD oil seems to be treating this guy well..

It's good oil but its not cheap. There are others out just as good and lot cheaper.
