Was pulling a pretty steep pass today with my 06 and a 4500# camper on its back and i would intermittently loose all boost. I checked my codes and got a P0299 (loss of turbo pressure) and P0478 (exhaust pressure control valve malfunction) obviously first code was caused by the P0478. Is this an easy fix or a shop job. Where is the Exh Pres Control Valve located? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Ebp sensor is mounted near the thermostat, it has a metal tube that is connected to the left manifold. Prone to blockage, remove the tube and sensor and clean them. That should take care of it, unless your turbo vanes are sticking.

Sent from my phone that somebody didn't help me get.

anything special i should use to clean them, is there a way to test the repair? doesnt do it under normal driving conditions. I dont want to find out that was not the problem on the way over the pass with a load and end up stranded.
