Okay so I got my new tranny ready to go back into truck. The old tranny went bad but did not explode and fluid in tranny was about 5K miles old. I know I need to get all the old fluid out of cooler and fill the converter. Here is what I was thinking.

-Fill the coverter all the way up.
-Install tranny and hook up only one cooler line
-run return line into catch pan
-Add 8-10 quarts to truck
-Fire truck up when see fluid in return line, run thought the gears, cut off after 3-4 quarts in catch pan
- Add about 3-5 quarts run until I get about 5-7 quarts into pan
-hook up return line top off to fill line on stick

Does sound good to yall? Any pointers please let me know?
