Hey there, I’m in the process of replacing my #1 injector, I pulled the old one and I’m ready to put my new injector in. I have it in and I torqued it down, I just need to connect the injector wires into the plug properly before I put everything back together. I’m wondering if there’s anything I need to squeeze to plug it in, I can get it together but I can’t seem to get it to click or hold securely. I just want to make sure I have it plugged in properly so I don’t have to pull my valve cover again down the road. Any tips or info help , this is my first time replacing injectors on a diesel, everything came apart quite easily, and getting the injector in was pretty straight forward, I just need to figure out this connector problem

Should have been a metal spring wire holding the plug together -- you push the loop end of the wire and it spreads open so the connector will pull apart -- push again to get the connector back together

Some remove the wire to disconnect, but that is a good way to damage the connector
