Hey guys I'm having a issue with my 08 6.4 with 61k miles on it. Seems to be running fine but getting horrible fuel mileage. I know they aren't expected to get great mileage by any means but I'm lucky to get 340 miles out of a full tank. I'm running spartan 275 which people claim to get around 16-18 mpg with. Could this be injectors failing? I'm not noticing loss of power, smoke, irregular idle, or fuel in the oil. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Is there a lot of fuel getting into your oil? It could be a leaky injector or a leaking high pressure fuel line.

No none that I have seen. That's what I don't understand. Is there a better way to test it?

I honestly dont know bud. If the truck is not throwing codes and the fuel is not getting into your oil i am not sure what it could be. What exactly are your mpg's hand calculated?

About 11-12mpg on highway!

How heavy is your foot? Mostly steady speed or lots of varying or low speed?

I'm on H&S Wild Hot Damn and in the city if I drive somewhat hard I'll get 11-12 all the time. If I drive straight highway I can hit 18 pretty easily....may just be the way you drive....as much as I know that is difficult to admit or change....

Are you running diff than stock tires?
Are you deleted or just tuned?

Something sounds [email protected]#$ , what kinda mileage did you get before you noticed this ? Is your air intake cleaned ? etc .. Im usaully 15-16 all day , wot or not with my beast ,
