OK before I make a fool of myself since I have never actually changed or for that matter seen an injector cup....my machine shop is trying to tell me that my 1997 powerstroke does not have injector cups in it after I asked that they be replaced during rebuild. What say you??

Go and take the guy point to the shinny brass things in the injector holes and say i want those replaced please:thumb:

WOW! I have been out of town and have had a buddy communicating with them. I asked him to go to the machine shop to inform them of their incompetence. He met with the owner who said that "his guy" was just confused and he would take care of it. That's almost as bad as when I called the Ford dealer to inquire about a rebuild kit for the same engine and they said they didn't make one. I'm not kidding!! I had to get a part number for them. Doesn't exactly instill confidence in any of them.
