Improved Blue CPS for 96.5-03 7.3L Ford Powerstroke Diesel from International
[IHC#1807339C92] $119.00

Improved Cam Position Sensor (CPS) for 7.3L Ford Powerstroke

International Part Number: IHC#1807339C92
If you own a 7.3L Powerstroke, you may already be aware of the shortcomings of the stock Cam Position Sensor (CPS).

It is common for the CPS to fail causing the engine to run poorly or to stop running altogether and it usually happens at the most inconvenient times, such as in traffic or pulling a load so many owners carry a spare CPS.

A new International Harvester CPS can be installed in the Powerstroke engine and will make the engine run quieter, smoother while increasing performance and mileage.

The IHC CPS provides a stronger more consistent signal to the Ford computer which results in a more accurate injection of fuel and better running engine with easier starts.

Works on all 96.5-03 7.3L Powerstroke Diesel
94-97 models may require shimming to install correctly.

This part has a 90 day warranty from date of purchase.

For installation instructions Click Here

No refunds or exchanges on CPS's or any sensors unless they are within the warranty period.

Those are not improved they are from a 530 engine not a T-444E. There was big discussions about whether they added fuel mileage or timing.

Just buy a new one and keep a spare. I don't trust any of them.

Even if you get a new CPS it doesn't hurt to carry a spare with you. There is a lower radiator hose on the passenger side front part of the engine that can rub on the frame, might take a look and see it it needs some protection.

Keep your oil and fluids clean.

Remove the stock air filter and put on one of the Napa air elements (Sorry don't have the part number). Lose the factory down pipe(dp) and install an after market dp.

All kinds of other things to do and others will chime in as well. Enjoy the truck and welcome to the site.

SO do these CPS's help & will really work. The blue cps is from a 530 Correct?
Does the international cps for the 444 better for our Powerstrokes?

I don't think anyone ever had proof the blue one's helped. A new CPS will normally help mileage.

Ford parts are repackaged IH parts and sometimes still in the IH package with a Ford bag over it.
