Hello all, new to site and my second 6L psd. Just bought an 04 350 and noticed that cold start and warm idle is the same. No change in rpm. It idles at about 675 regardless.
Is this acceptable or do I need to investigate?

Can you hear the turbo change tones by unplugging it?
I’m gussing the problem is there. The 2004 has no boost-gauge at least I think. If you have a gauge does full boost to 28-30 lbs ?
If tone doesn’t change from unplugging turbo is likely froze up. Need to clean the turbo unison ring etc.
If turbo tone changes I’d try a relearn by dropping power. Pull cable from both batteries.
How does truck drive? Does it have solid power through ranges.

Oh welcome to the forum. Others will chime in wiser than me hopefully lol.

Thank you for the quick response.
Im not as smart as used to be, what does unplugging the turbo mean? Does not have boost gage, and does have full power through the range. I really don’t know yet what the previous owner did to the truck other than after market intake. Have yet to investigate further.

IMO there isn't an issue w/ 675 rpm cold and hot idle.
