I'm trying to find my uncles gear set for his 250 for a dptuner. Now I'm pretty sure that they only offered 3.73s and 3.93s for 250s in 02 and I checked the tags on the cover but it was kinda painted and hard to make out. Is there another way?

3.73's or 4.10's - more then likely 3.73's.

what you need to do is look on the white tag down low on the center pillar (where front door latches).... near the bottom of the tag you will see something that looks like this: Axle = 61 take that code and look on here: Axle codes

that table will show you the gear ratio and wether you have a limited slip or a open rear end....

look on the white and yellow sticker on the axle. It is printed in the top right corner. Probably 3.73's like stated above. I think that was standard on the 02's.
Also if you're running about 2000-2100 rpms @ 75mph w/stock tires, you've got 3.73's
