'06 CCSB FX4 6.0 Stock. How much power should I have over 70 mph? I've only had this truck a couple of weeks and haven't got gauges yet. Planning on the Edge soon. Stock boost gauge seems to go up around 25psi, but on the highway I barely seem to have enough power to gain speed much less really get up and go to pass someone and this is empty. Can't imagine having any with any amount of weight behind me. Is this normal for a stocker or should I be looking for one of the aforementioned problems the 6.0's seem to come up with.

sounds like you might have a small issue. check for boost leaks check the ipr icp fpr sounds like your lackin a bit of air or fuel or maybe both. check the ficm voltage as well. whens the last time you changed your fuel filters?

Is there a way to test them without having gauges, or what should they read once I get gauges? Haven't changed the filters since I've had it but the guy before me was pretty meticulous about this truck so they SHOULD be fairly new. Changing filters, fluids is in the picture just hadn't had a chance to do it yet.

Replace your filters, but I'm thinking you have a fuel delivery issue somewhere. Not really possible to diagnose without a monitor/guages (check sig for info).

I'm betting you have a leak somewhere, lacking fuel pressure, or have a weak FICM. All of which should be corrected quickly (as the later two can compound to injector failure).

Leak tests are pretty self explanatory.

There is a thread around here on the test points for the FICM. You'll need two folks, one under the hood with a voltmeter, and the other operating the key. You need KOEO, cranking, and engine running voltages along with the float voltage of each battery.

Fuel Pressure, that's requires a gauge/monitor accessory.

A stock cc4x4 on oem tires runs the 1320 about16.2, 0-60 8, from a 60mph cruise it should hit the speed limiter in abou10-12 seconds. A $10 multi tester will check the FICM voltage. Hand time a quarter mile to know if you are in the ballpark. A stock 03 6.0 will walk away from an otherwise identicle 03 6.0 by several truck lengths before you hit 70 (I know, we tried it with the first 03 at a local ford dealer in Needles ca in 03).

What all do I need for the fuel pressure set up with a CTS? Starter kit, hose from strictly diesel, and edge pressure sensor? Would it be easier, cheaper, any of the above to get just a regular mechanical gauge from somewhere else for the fuel pressure? Changed fuel filters and it seemed to help now I want to get it monitored and see how everything is doing by the numbers.
