To convert my 2003 f250 to a one ton rear end. Is it possible? Would it be easier to just buy a 350?

Finding a short bed dually would be the hardest point, but for legal/towing purposes it would still be a 250. So it would be better to just get a 350 IMHO.

The 250 and the 350 have the same rear end unless it's a dually. There's no difference with the Sterling 10.25 or the 10.5 from a strength perspective. You can even run the 10.5 gears in either axle assembly.

10.25 was in the OBS, 10.5 is in the SRW super duties, dana 80 if it's a DRW superduty.
