i have a 1999.5 f250sd 194,000 miles. my truck ever sense i put the rebuilt turbo in and up pipe gaskets im getting 13.2 mpg empty no trailer. i dont have a heavy foot. and i dont let the rpm usually get above 2200 rpms. i recently have cleaned my airraid air filter and changed the fuel filter. nothing seems to help. i dont hear any boost leaks anywere and my boost gauge reads up to 25 psi what should i check im stumped.

if your not running a programer or a chip i dont think thats too far off.... maybe a little low. honestly the last thing i did to help mpg's was a new set of steer tires.

i have a ts perfromace chip. and the guy i got it from said 75hp is economy mode that what i run in. and my tires are half tread and are 285/75/16

what boost are you pushing? do you have gauges?

im pushing 3-5 at 65-70mph and 60mph 1-2 psi and max pressure is about 25-28

what was the reason for the rebuilt turbo? was there any parts that didnt get replaced or did you change the wheel on it?

it was sent to a diesel shop to get rebuilt. turbo had 1/2 inch of in and out play. and the impeller was hiting the housing and making noice. and had a bad bearing that why lol. and what i know is they did a good job. they rebuilt the turbo on my dads rigs so im guessing they did a good job

What kind of tires are you running?
What is the condition of your u joints? shocks and brakes?
I might even consider changing where I get my fuel

im running mastercraft courser tires 285/75/16. u joints are all tight. shocks and brakes are good. and i get my fuel from shell or from a truck stop

i take it suspension and driveline/trans are all stock?

i feel your pain. i run 10" of lift and 5.11/37" and am only getting 11mpg at best.

yes all driveline is stock for now until i get all my parts for my eaton 8 speed swap

i use to get 15-16 mpg in the city. now i just filled up last nite and 12.4 mpg. what the hell is wrong with it i put a new turbo in and i have no boost leaks or exhaust leaks. i really thinking of trading it in on a cummins right

your fuel pump still good? I would check fuel pressure, and maybe do a buzz test to see if all 8 injectors are stil working well.

i would but i dnt wanna pay the stealership 100+ for a injector buzz test and contubution balance test. and fuel pressure i will check were should i tie into the system at?

back of the fuel bowl, theres a bung......
