Does anyone know of a pre-trip treatment for easy bug gut removal from the finish. Every other year I make a road trip from Denver to Nova Scotia for family gatherings.

Last trip I used Pam non-stick, figured it would be fine for the finish on the grille and mirrors since, NOT, it turned to a soft goo and harder to remove than the bugs.

Try a wet fabric softener sheet. Afriend told me about that for Love Bugs, but I have not tried it yet... His truck always looks good so maybe it works...

I have sprayed the truck with water late at night and then early morning wash it. They seem to be easier to wash off.

I found This Article on Bug removal.

Found this article too.

I have also used Honda Spray cleaner & polish, comes in aerosol can from Honda motorcycle dealer. Spray's on and looks like white lithium, let it soak and soften then wipe it off.

on semis i always used the windsheild washer brush, it cleaned the bugs rite off.. you might get some odd looks from other drivers when you turn the fuel bay into a truck wash..
