Filled up 1st time with HPR(Full Tank) in my 2007 f250 6.0. I noticed it running smoother and idling quieter later in the day once the diesel got flushed thru with HPR. Next day starting was so much smoother and quieter just on a cold start. I do notice a small gain in power and real light smell from exhaust compared to the overwhelming smell from D2. still cant confirm MPG gains as my driving is sometimes aggressive, but overall i like this fuel.

Diesel HPR????

Propel Diesel HPR
Anybody running this in their 6.0? I have some in my cummins right now and it seems to like it, plus its about 30 cents cheaper then regular diesel. I think its only available in CA right now, the only plus of living here!

Hopefully not just some hippie California BS. Looks promising from what I've read. Still manufactured overseas (Finland) and it would appear they are getting a hefty tax credit. Time will tell.

Why isn't this on the east coast?!?
:dunno: - Good question. Maybe ask a company there that offers bio-diesel if they have plans to offer HPR anytime soon. I'm sure the company that makes it wouldn't mind selling more.

Been runnin it for a while in both my 6.0 and ole 12v. Everything thing seems great. I can really notice a low end difference in the over fueled 12v....6.0 runs the same without the diesel smell. Ive ran quite a bit of bio so i think my tanks were spotless, so my fuel filters always look clean when i change them, so im no help there

Anymore feedback on the HPR? I just found a station that sells it near me. Thinking about giving it a try in my 05' Excursion. Is Running this stuff like bio where you need to change filters more frequently?
When I switched over, I didn't do anything to my truck. I haven't changed my fuel filter any more often than regular maintenance intervals.

For me, its closer to ULSD than Bio with regards to solvency and lubricity (subjective opinion)

I dont have much experience with it yet on the 6.0L, but quite a few tanks on the 1.9L (TDI). That ol Bosch mechanical IP will tell you quite a bit about the fuel you are running if you listen ;) I still run lubricity additives with the HPR, which aren't needed at all with B20 or B99. I haven't heard much of the seal swelling issue(s) going from ULSD to HPR as with going from USLD to Bio either

So stumbled across this thread about HPR propel. I like the stuff, havent really noticed a diffrence compared to usld or anything I have ran im my 6.0 but hey my wallet sure is loving it. 2.40$gal, cant beat that in cali. I did change fuel filters after a tank just to make sure nothing from my tank was being stripped. So far I like it. What kind of additives ya using yreka?

I just filled up my little 1.9 tdi with the hpr stuff. Want to test it on the vw before I put it in my 05' excursion. I still added stanadyne Lubricity to the tank just for good measure. I notice it seems a touch smoother and quiter right out the gate. Still going to run it a bit before I put any of it in the EX'.

The price at the Propel pumps in Roseville have dropped to $1.999. Equal to an ARCO station (ULSD) I pass on the way to work. I'm filling up with the HPR Friday. Since I've owned the truck, the lowest price for ULSD I paid was $2.069. So I'll have a new low fuel price and I hope it lasts for a bit.
