First time posting on here so I don’t even know if this is the right spot. Still chasing my VGT issue. I can sweep the veins all day long on my laptop and they move fine but the truck itself won’t do it. Pulled off the EBP sensor, cleaned it, and still not reading right. Recently pulled the turbo to clean it due to the veins being seized and installed a new unison ring. After driving the truck started to shift funny and the exhaust sounded completely different (5 inch straight). Even tried a new pcm from another truck, still no change.

I’m assuming when you cleaned the EBP, you also looked at the tube?

Do you know if the sensor is OEM?

Have you pullled the MAP hose And check for corrosion and leaks?

THose are the easy things. You can also get a 4” rubber pipe end, worm clamps, and rig a way to pressure check the system for leaks. My particular set up with brass on off switches, pressure gauge, and fittings, ended up being $50 to build, but you could do it cheaper.

For me, my MAP hose looked fine. I pressurized through the turbo, and I heard it leak. I pulled the hose and found that it was cracked internally and leak through the nipple, not letting all the pressure get to the MAP sensor. It’s a fairly common problem.
