I just got a new LED 3rd brake light and the white lights are staying on because i guess they turn on when the door is opened. My sesnor show that i have a door open. so my led stays on and will burn out the battery.
i had to take out my dome lights so it wouldnt burn the battery out.

is there something ican do to eliminate this sensor.
i thikn i read somewhere it sticks.
but i dont know where the door sensors are
cant find them.

i had that same problem...i had electrical contact cleaner and sprayed a ton of it in the door latch untill it ran out the bottom of the door. then i slamed it a few times. i let it dry for about 5mins then did this all over again with wd-40did it on all the doors and it is as good as new now.
good luck

The WD40 trick works for 98% of the problems. I did mine 2 years ago and it has not recurred. Of course, the dealer would tell you to replace the switches, but I recommend you start with the 30 cent solution!

WD-40.. I agree. I used it on my dads old 99 several times, and my wifes explorer. Works every time for me.
