I changed the #1 fuel injector on the passenger side of my 6.0. Everything seemed to go well but now the truck will not start. the batteries were low because the truck sat for about a month. they were recharged but the truck cranks but will not fire. Need some suggestions.:dunno:

Yep, according to the book, you're supposed to discard the D-rings on both pieces, but I think the dealership only sells the tube and plug, and not the D-rings alone, even still they're not that expensive...the replacement tube and plug have a teflon ring backing the D-rings, they're known for going out....but it would kind of help if there were codes, in case there's something else going on....

I don't think he has a standpipe/dummy plug issue due to the fact that it's a late-04 truck he's working on by the looks of things (the ones that use a 1/2" square drive to remove instead of the 10 allen head ones that always deteriorate the lower d-ring on the dummy plugs). I'm thinking he wasn't even able to crank the engine over long enough or fast enough immediately after the injector replace to rebuild up ICP for intial startup due to the weak batteries he mentions. Try boosting/charging up both batteries FULLY first, then re-attempt to start it back up. Any time any part of the high pressure oil system has been "opened up" for whatever repair, will result in a LONG crank for initial startup.
