hey guys I been lurking for a while here but I really need some help now. Im in a bind in a BIG way!!! I have an 04 F350, which I LOVE!!! Im aware of the problems and all that goes with owning a 6.0. heres my problem. I have recently started getting the white smoke out of the exhaust. I figured it was the egr cooler I had plans to send it to a performance shop for MAJOR work. Studs gasket, egr delete, injectors, turbo, programmer. basically the works then BAM my wife decides to leave me. problem with that is now my household income is cut in half and Im STRAPPED for cash. so the plans to get the work done came to a halt. No biggie I have another vehicle so I can just wait it out and when I have the money get her fixed. Well then she hits me with "you have 90 days to refinance the truck and take me off as a cosigner" well because all the debt is in my name for various reasons my debt to income ratio is now maxed out so bank after bank has told me no. I really can't afford to go to one of those high interest places so Im kinda stuck. I need to get out from under this truck but I can't refinance and I don't think I can trade it in or sell it in its current state. also I just had the EGR cooler pulled and its not leaking at all. so that doesn't appear to be the problem. It seems there is no way out. I owe 13 on it and need to get out from under it. does anyone think I could sell it for that in the shape its in? or have any thoughts suggestions comments ANYTHING!?!?!? Ive even considered starting to part it out even though shes a BEAUTIFUL truck and runs like a raped ape other than this white smoke. I don't know what to do!!!!!

I'm sorry to hear about your recent troubles. When's the last time you changed the oil? Does the truck have a tune on it? How many miles are on it?

The truck has 133k on her. She is due for an oil change right now its been about 3600 miles, but since the oil was going to be drained and replaced when I had all the work done I was putting it off a few more miles. I have a bully dog power pup that I ran for just a few days on a low setting but I was paranoid about the "weak head bolts" on the 6.0 so I took it off and was gonna wait till I got all the work done. I just got back from the shop and we decided to put the sinister EGR delete kit that I already had on in just in case the cooler really was bad. so MAYBE that will fix it or at least let her limp along for a bit till I can sell/trade her in or find SOMEWAY to keep her.
