I figured since im lifting my truck in a few weekends, i might as well and be smart about it and get a steering stabilizer setup with it.

I'm not looking for anything too insane. The setup is procomps basic 6.5" front 5" rear lift.

I'de like a stabilizer setup that sits higher (i looked at the BDS setup on trucktoyz website, and didnt like how low it sits. The Icon stabilizer setup looks MUCH better, but i didnt want to spend quite that much)

Any reccomendations? i really like how the icon kit sits above the tie rods, but $235+the stabilizer shocks isnt very appealing, considering the lift only costs $1000.

Pretty much anything that stabilizes the tire rod between the knuckles is going to sit lower. There are several dual kits that use a bracket that mounts to the axle tube and then the shocks mount to it on one end and mounts to the tie-rod on the other end. I prefer the Fabtech dual kit as it keeps thejm shocks pretty tightly protected by the steering components and axle, as well as locates everything to the one side of the truck. When you have shocks running from side to side, it makes it much easier to get them damaged by debris and normal driving.
Now, if your looking to dampen the steering wheel "jerk", you will need to go with a kit that attaches to the drag-link on the one end and the frame on the other.....

Also assuming that since you are running a "6.5" kit" your truck is leaf sprung.
Correct.

thanks for the input, i'll look into the fabtech kit
