I am doing ball joints on a coworkers 2wd superduty.
I installed both joints in their axle assembly. When i tighten the bottom large nut to lock the BJ in place it get real hard to turn assembly side to side as if steering. The lower joint is very tight in its bore. Not from install, i am referring to the ball and socket. I can move it with my arms but its tight. I dont want to hurt the steering box. Will this just wear in a bit shortly and be ok? I removed the top camber adjuster so its got nothing to do with the top one tightening. When the lower bj presses into the area it presses in.(as supposed to) But the knuckle does not spin freely and allow easy wheel turning.(this is with my hands not the truck.

cool, cause I am letting it ride. Its not binding on anything. Just a tight ball and socket .

The weight of the 7.3 should break it in!! I hope you used Moog joints when you did it.
