Ok I'm confused on some stuff, all programmer related. So I've obviously decided after reading so much about SCT to go ahead and buy one. Not sure if it'll be the xcal 2 or 3, all I know is I want some custom tunes. Which brings me to my question. If I buy one and say my buddy who already ownes one has some custom tunes on his computer be shared with me? Or is it one of those things that can only be used on one programmer at a time? Sorry for the newbie question.

you cant share tunes with him, all rogrammers are only goo for the truck its programmed into, need to send it off and get it tuned to what you want , there are several good tuners around , do a little research and youll figure out what you want

I'm wanting to use DJ's, but it was my understanding the tunes would be emailed? Will I have to send the programmer to have them downloanded onto it? Thanks...

you can do it either way , dj's tunes are fine , good luck

Here's how it goes..

you order an SCT from DJ
he sends it
you get it
you get the PCM number off of your truck
you email it to him
he sends you an email with custom tunes
you connect your SCT to your computer
you download the tunes into the SCT
you plug the SCT into your truck
you load a tune
you unhook the SCT and throw it in the seat next to you
you drive easy for a little while so your tranny can learn the tune.
when the tranny has learned the tune.....


YOU GO DESTROY YOUR TIRES.!!!

I think I covered everything...if not.... someone else will fill in the rest....lol
