Hi All
Need help!! My truck started to act up while towing my trailer from Omak to Twisp. At first was not shifting easily than my boost was jumping up and down than down to nothing.. when boost jumped up I had noises from under the hood.. seemed like tin clinking.. followed by black smoke out of tail pipe..I managed to limp it to Twisp but now face an up hill climb from both directions..

I think it is my turbo but not sure, and everybody in the area is closed..

This sucks, please any advise or suggestions would be appreciated..

Hi All

Just an info reply to my issue during holidays...

I managed to get my truck back to B.C. into Penticton so Ford can look at it. I was going over a number of items with my mechanic back home and without knowing about any codes I limped it back to Penticton. After a few hours of labour it turned out to be some kind of butterfly system pre turbo to regulate the air flow for the turbo. The electrical part of the system was faulty. Solution was to take the butterfly piece off, similar to a chock butterfly. Ford had only put this system in 6.0L PSD in 2003-2004.

Hope this info will help others.....
