Hey y’all we just got our first snow here in northwester Illinois and my heater isn’t very hot. I was wondering what I have to do to fix it or a part to get more heat out of it? All my vents are working just not getting as hot as I would like. Any help would be great. TIA

I would start by inspecting the coolant system.

Does the coolant look greenish or a straw colored almost dirty yellow color? The 99-03 7.3ls came with two different kinds depending on the year. earlier came with a brighter green and later years came with the Ford gold premium. Also any residue in the coolant reservoir?

You could also have the knobs tested. I had a weaker AC randomly while driving and they checked the low/high pressure but the knob was not engaging enough or the componet behind it tested badly. Its been a few years. so it wasn't on the max setting even though the knob stated it was. Also check the thermostat. If its stuck open the engine may not be getting to operating temp in colder climates.
