My drivers side seat will not get warm...the light on the switch illuminates. Does anyone know where I can start looking? It'll be cold soon and I'd like to be able to use it

Most likely the element pad is broken and it's a PITA to change.

Does the seat covering and all that crap have to come out?

Yes the warmer is just under the leather, which is why I haven't fixed my azz warmer yet. I think I'll do it whenever I buy new skins for my seats and arm rests.

Just did both of my seats. Wasn't really that bad once I went to Tractor Supply and got some hog ring pliers. Both of my seat bottoms were bad. Both get nice and toasty now! :)

Just repaired my heated seats by following the link amdriven2liv suggested, took me about 2.5 hours for the drivers side but only about 2 for the passenger side once I was familiar with the process. I also highly recommend removing the seats this is almost impossible to do in the vehicle. I now have toasty seats. Ready for a cold hunting season....Thanks
