2000 4X4 7.3L Excursion with 290K miles.

New to forum with an opinion question

My mileage has fallen off over the 15 years I've driven this rig from 19 to 14 highway. I've never had to do any engine work on it other than replace accessories. Would overhauling the injectors be appropriate at this time? While I'm in there should I pull the heads and have a valve job done? Finally, what sort of injector upgrade would be fun but reasonably affordable?

Thanks in advance for you thoughts on this.

I do have a little wheel shudder during braking so I plan to grease up the caliper pins next time I'm in that area. I can check tire pressure too but this has been a very gradual mileage loss. I really was thinking it could just be degradation of injector performance/spray pattern after all these years but I'm hearing that you guys don't think that's likely?

ebp tube and sensor clogged?
leaky up-pipes/ bad boots(hows your boost)
air filter(is it clean/new)

290k is close to replacing injectors...

even on semi trucks they replace them at approx. 300k miles intervals..
