Thinking about doing this to my 05 F250 CCSB but have a few questions. I'm planning on just dropping the tank instead of lifting the bed. Once the low fuel light comes on how much fuel is left in the tank. Also is there anything I need to know before I try to drop the tank any tricks that might help or keep me from messing something up. Thanks in advanve for the help.

Just know that its a much larger PITA than lifting the bed and will take considreably longer. I would strongly recommend that you find about 2-3 friends and just lift the bed.

If you drop the tank , don't support the weight of it ,with all the pressure in the middle of the tank. You'll break off the fuel pickup foot.
