I need some help; twice now, my 2004 F250 PSD has had a hard time starting. It tries but acts as though it is only running on half the cylinders, chugging & choking, then dies. 1st time it took nearly 6 tries before, while feathering the throttle, it stayed started. When I mashed the throttle, a puff of blue smoke came out. After warming up, it ran fine, even for an 800 mile trip. 2 days later, same thing happened, only to run fine after it warmed up, no smoke, no issues. Could this be glow plugs? FICM? Can any body show how to check FICM with a voltage meter? I know it needs to be 45/48V at all times??
Any help is GREATLY apreciated. Thanks. :dunno::doh:

PS: It has 80,000 orig. miles and I am original owner.
