When I take off it feels like a bowling ball rolls back and slams into the tail gate. Anybody had this happen??? It doesnt do it everytime but most of the time.

Sounds like the rearend. Never had an issue with this in a :icon_ford: but our company has had a lot of chevys that tend to do the same thing when the rearend goes.

May not have gotten the proper gear meshing.

But to me it sounds like your trans is slipping then slamming into gear when it shifts.
