Hi new here I have a 2003 6.0 107k I'm driving down the highway no load or nothing and the abs light comes on, the cluster starts to dim and by the time I pull off the radio is out and the cluster is completely dead with the exception of the abs light and the airbag. Also when I put it into reverse it is not smooth it clunks into gear but other than that it drives well. Thank you!

Update: has to get jumped to get home same thing happened but when I pulled over it died had to get it towed home. My guess is the alternator

That's what mine did when my alternator went out.

What kind of alternator did you buy to replace it?

It's a motor craft alternator bigger than stock. Not sure how many amps. I can check later

Thanks for all your help I bought a be one dropped it in in what seemed like world record time and charged the batteries a bit and she started right up. One thing though the fuel gauge is taking forever to go back to full is that normal?
