Fumoto Oil Drain Valve

I know some guys here have used them and highly recommend them. I am ordering one for my 2016 and would like to hear if I should order the straight nipple or the one with with 90 degree elbow. Do you attach a drain hose? Did you need to purchase the extension?

How are you pointing it straight down when it comes out the side?
