I have the F106S pointed straight down. I drain it straight into a 5 gallon race fuel can without a hose. That's just because it's convenient though. If I went straight out I would use a hose for sure.
Out of those two, I would recommend the 90° one. You won't need a hose. Especially if you drain into a 5 gal bucket like most do.How are you pointing it straight down when it comes out the side?
Here are the 2 I am looking at.

I was curious about this myself so I checked. After draining my oil to a drip, I pulled the valve. Got a whopping 4oz when it returned to a drip. How much of that was oil still draining off the engine internals? Dunno. I always drain after driving for a bit to warm the oil so maybe some.On the 6.7's, how much oil does the Fumoto block from coming out the drain?
With the Jeep 2.8 holding so little oil in stock configuration, it's a decent percentage. - on the Jeeps the Fumoto threads in deeper than the pan and blocks a certain amount of oil from coming out the drain hole
Thanks for that! My wife's new car needs one.For those looking to get one Fumoto is running a sale.
