Hand calculated, on average 14.7 CITY, HWY @68 MPH 20.2, 72 MPH 18.5 MPG, no mountains, drive like an old lady, 18K miles on my 2008 F350 stock. My MPG has improved the more I drive.

8.7 mpg towing 15k fifth wheel at 60 to 65 mph. 10.4 mpg empty city/hwy mix. That's 2 mpg less than I got with my 7.3 towing the same trailer, and about 6 mpg less than the 7.3 got when running empty.

What do you DPF delete/tune guys get when towing???

I am planing on trading my '05 cummins for a '09 f-250 excab.
My CTD gets 17-18 empty 12-13 towing a flatbed trailer that is empty or loaded
With anywhere from 4000lbs to 12000lbs. I see most stock 6.4s getting 8-10.5 towing.
My trucks all stock.

10 (empty) seems low. 14 - 16 is the best you should expect out of a stock truck.

It seems as though the moded trucks (DPF/CAT Delete) get good mpg's towing, but I'm always skeptical, I'll believe it when I see it, in 3.5 years.

It gets better. Wait till it breaks in. However, it will never get as good economy as your 6.0 stock due to the emissions equipment.

Spartan 120 tune, dpf/cat delete and an AFE stage II, commuter driving back and forth to work, average about 12.5, highway, 15 and towing a 12000 boat about 11,,with the 210 tune mileage went up both in town and highway(I don't tow with the 210 installed) but I'm not a big fan of the lack of throttle response at light throttle settings with the 210 installed.

The past few weeks of city driving has really surprised me, i was in the 20's with my highway driving and i just couldnt believe how good it was. But the city driving is really crumby. I dont understand how I could drop from the 20's to 12-14 mpg, it just seems like too big of a swing

I see around 14-16 hwy and 9-11 city, mixed is around 11-13 running 325/65R18's. My overall average for this year is 11.5 hand calc'd.

I've seen 16.5 (hand calc'd) only once when I got gas right next to the freeway, then drove until I needed gas again.

And I baby the **** out of it, try to keep the RPM's below 2K and Boost below at or below 10.

I think there's something wrong, dealer says no. I call BS. :)

EDIT: Dual alternators

Ok... I noticed something that might be making a difference in fuel mileage in these discusions.. Dual alternators.. Post wether or not you have them so we can see if it's makes a difference when compared to the fuel mileage of trucks without..
