Hello all again! I am working on my 97 f350 7.3. I pulled out the fuel bowl/ filter housing to clean and re-ring the fuel pressure regulator. So I pulled the fuel heater and noticed it was disconnected or un glued from the plate. Is this a problem? If so is there a way to re-adhear it to the plate, or is it done, and I have to get a new one? Thanks in advance for any help.

It is done

Depending on if you have gel issues, some just leave the heater out

I use Power Service white in the winter around here and have not had trouble with gelling

As mentioned, you can leave it out or if you feel you need the heater "upgrade it to the SD-style heater element (like the Dorman 904-210). Cheers!
