I changed the fuel filters on my 06 6.0l using international vt275 filters. The lower filter is TIGHT, but the cap isn't flush against the canister. There is a VERY small gap. I don't think it is crossthreaded and I think it is tight enough. Should I take it off and try again? I ran it up the road for a couple miles and everything seemed fine.

Thanks

If you are sure you did not cross thread it, you should be fine. It is the o-ring that seals. I always use a torque wrench on mine though.

I would take if off make sure the O-ring is in the right spot on the cap or you only have one on it. If that cap doesn't seet properly you could cause the can of getting crap/water in the bowl.
