So I've been toying with the idea of putting two monster hooks in the front of my truck, and I've read every thread on the OBS section of this site about tow hooks and I've seen some good ideas about mounting them etc, but I've seen some mention of putting a brace on the horns to make sure that they don't bend. This is what I've seen as a suggestion in addition to a front receiver hitch. I was under the impression though that RSK kits were for D60's only? I'm not looking for them to be mounted really low like if I were to use the hitch, I'd prefer to have them put directly into the horns like so Any thoughts on another kind of bracket? I have a stock front end. Also any ideas about plastic coating around the holes that will be cut in the bumper? Sorry for the long post. Thanks for any advice!

Part of the RSK's simplicity is using the front leaf's rear solid mounting point as the new mounting point for a pivoting shackle. Which means the rear of the leaf spring now has to ride farther from the frame length of the now newly installed shackle.

This also means that the former mounting point of the front shackle is turned into a solid mounting point, but it also has to be lowered the same distance as the new shackle at the rear of the spring.

Otherwise you change the D60's caster angle and the driveshaft-to-pinion angle.

I believe you can find a RSK that uses the OBS spring lengths. For the reasons I describe above, they too will hang down some.

Not sure if PMF sells one, but they would be the first people I call. Regardless of how many other people have one advertised. Just my completely biased opinion.
