Not sure if this is the right forum for this post but was hoping y'all that know more about wrenching could help me. I've got a 2013 Arctic Cat 700 cc quad & it won't start. I replaced the battery & when I turn the key, I hear what I think is the fuel pump (like it used to) but then when I push the start button just loud clicking. I tried bypassing the solenoid next to the battery but all it did was send out a bunch of sparks. Connections on the battery are clean & tight. I'm thinking starter or solenoid but not sure. Any help is greatly appreciated?

so you get clicking and the starter DOESN'T turn over?

battery is fully charged? can try jumping it off a car.
another thing to try;

turn key on, take thick cable (similar to a battery cable or for an AMP) and jump the starter. if it spins and starts, its your solenoid.

Sorry for the late reply, the wheeler is up at our mountain property & I didn't get up there till this past weekend. Correct it clicks loudly & doesn't start. I trickle charged then tested the battery & it reads 12.4 on my multimeter (I'm not good w/ electronics but I can do that haha). So I hook up a cable from the battery posts straight to the starter & if it starts then it's the solenoid? I assume that I use 2 cables 1 from each battery post & connect to each post on the starter?
