Hey all,
This is my first post so I hope I do this right. My 2001 7.3 already had the wiring and setup for fog lights when I bought it, but no fog lights. I just recently bought fog lights with HIDs in them. Hooked em up to the connections and nothing. I think my original wiring is no good, but I can't seem to find a place to buy it. Also when I hook up the HIDs to power they come on for a second and just cut out. Any information or comments would be great!
Thanks,
James

Does your light switch have the part for turning on the fogs? Turn the headlights on and then pull the knob out?

Yes they have ballasts and the wiring on them are meant to go in the stock connectors for fog lights. I believe me stock wiring is no good because I believe they have never been hooked up to fog lights and my truck has 253,000 miles haha

I believe it does because the truck came rigged for fog lights, but no fog lights. My wiring looks really old so Im guessing thats stock too. I can check tomorrow, what do I look for?

Turn your lights on then pull out on the knob. You should feel it click out.

If your hids just flicker once on you have either bad bulb or ballast

No idea on the whole foglight wiring harness. And on the hids they are all different on reliability and what not. I've used DDM Tuning for years, and now we use RaceSport, but I like DDM more.
