do you just replace fog lights with the normal high low beam bulbs??

No the fogs are different from the hi/low headlight.

what is a good brighter bulb replacement for fogs and heads

I found that 9005, and 9006 light bulbs fit in the fog lamps. I run 9005 in our truck. Since they are a hi beam bulb, I angle the lens down a bit more.

Yes they are, but the 9005 and 9006 share the same bulb body style as the 9145. So the plugs are the same as the 9145. Even better, the 9005 is brighter then the 9145 because its a hi beam bulb.

The 99 - 04 are diffrent from the 05 -07.

They might be, check first. Thats what I did. Powered is probably right though.

It just checked the Sylvania web sight. 9145 are used after 03. So yes the 9005s will fit.

I'm sorry if I'm wrong. but the price is very differnt just for the bulb.

I just went and looked at my 04's and the bulb and lamp are a complet.

My only word of caution is high watts means higher heat. Some of those enclosures weren't designed to sustain such high heat.

YMMV
