This may seem like a dumb question, but will a piece of 4 inch flex pipe work to replace the stock piping for the 6637 intake job?
Thanks

If you can get a good seal, it doesn't collapse under vacuum and secure it so it won't rub anything then I don't see any reason it wouldn't work.

The stock black rubber tube from the CCV fitting to the stock air box is re-used. Insert the 4" diam exhaust pipe or other 4" OD pipe into the stock tube and secure with the stock hose clamp. Fit the new filter with new hose clamp on the end of the 4" pipe and you're done. I wouldn't bother replacing it with flex pipe, unless you are building a whole new intake from the filter to the turbo, and removing the CCV fitting and doing the CCV mod.

Just to let you know also, unless you have an aftermarket turbo/compressor housing, the intake tube necks down to 3" into the turbo. This might give you a few problems to think about.
