Fifth Wheel / Gooseneck combo hitch???

Hey guys, quick question. Who makes a great fifth wheel / Gooseneck combo hitch? Someone told me that Reese makes one but I'm not sure if I'm looking at the right product or not. I don't care really which brand it is as long as it works. I have a guy who will install it for me for free :wink[3]: if I get an above bed system but I need both a fifth wheel and goosneck combo. Above the bed doesn't matter to me since my bed doesn't get used nowhere as much as my trailers. Any sugestions would be helpful or links and part numbers. Thanks.

You can always get the B&W combo. I don't like their fifth wheel hitch that much. But it does leave the bed completely clear.

We use this kit. It's most common and an easy install on Fords. They do sell custom brackets to fit holes in the frame for no drilling but it's not hard.
Then you just get the fifth wheel hitch and GN plate.

That's what I have. I like it.
So basically if I get the bed rails then the fifth wheel and gooseneck plate should fit each then, as long as they state that they fit all universal rails? This is where I got confussed at.
Yes. Reese, Curt, Drawtite, and most others should fit. Husky sometimes are different. But those two links will work. An RV dealer or trailer dealer should be able to help you out and maybe even show you the different things you can get. And you can leave both in at the same time since they fit diff holes.
Thank you very much. It was confussing the heck out of me thats for sure but I got a handle on it now. I knew someone on this site could help a brother out lol.
had to bring up an old topin. I current have a pop up style gooseneck hitch in my truck but am needing to install rails for a 5th wheel. I do not want to remove the goosneck and have to buy a plate for the gooseneck to work with the rails. so will the 5th wheel rails be able to mount with the gooseneck system still installed?
You can get a gooseneck to fifth wheel adaptor for the truck. It installs on the 2 5/16 ball and goes to a 5th wheel plate. Got mine at etrailer . com.

Maybe. You say pop up style but what brand? With B&W, I can't install a rail kit with it. But with some DIY styles  I have gotten rails in there.

Page 11, look and see where the brackets will go and see if your hitch is in the way.
g2shuck another way you could go is with the andersen ultimate 5th conversion. Easy to load at 70lbs the gooseneck mount you would need will return to an empty bed in minutes. Check it out. Sorry pic doesen't show real well but pulled great up and down Ca.

Only one right answer here, B&W... They cost more but they are the best and allow you to keep your bed usable...
