so im new to this board an just learned about the ficm an programing it. I allready run a mini maxx but kinda want to get my ficm tunned so i get better mileage what is my best options considering time down or can i program it myself

No down time needed. You can do remote FICM program from PHP. It's $150 and a deposits on the programmer, you place your order, they send you the programmer, you program your FICM, then send the programmer back, and you get your deposit back.

The only negative I noticed so far is 50-100* EGT increase, depending on which combo of tunes I run.

And, my fuel psi is dropping (30's) at WOT due to the extra fuel being delivered to the injectors. I've been running the Atlas80 w/SRL++. Without my FICM tune, fuel psi at WOT only drops to 55psi. For now I don't do any WOT until I get a chance to put on my AD2.

Any FICM tune that you decide to go with will increase economy and increase power. As with most tunes (FICM and ECM) the higher the net hp the tune supplies the better the fuel economy if you can keep your foot off the floor.

The only negative side effect as lilpooh mentioned is the slightly raised EGTs. But keep in mind that this is always an issue when you are making more power.

Higher EGT's is no joke... I can easliy hit 1500* on the Hercules tune.

I have been running the Atlas 40 and it seems to be much cooler.
