Fan From Hell
I have a 2004 6.0/5sp auto. When towing and going up hills, what I assume to be a cooling fan comes on intermitently. This fan is loud! I mean, it sounds like a 747 is taking off from under the dash. I am wondering if this is normal, as I have not heard anyone else mention it. This truck has 68K on it, and is totally stock. What's the scoop?

Yes, they built those fan to COOL, for sure. Totally normal. Scared the chit out of my wife the first time it did it :hehe:
yep it is a loud mine come on pulling the horse trailer all of the time.
It's loud but I gotta give Ford credit, I've not had my truck run warm yet. (Maybe the Royal Purple and the Purple Ice help too.)
