Hey All

Long time reader, first time posting.

I have a 2005 6.0psd and have been having a rattle coming from behind the radiator, upon inspection i fount that the wire coming off of the fan clutch has been cut by the fan. It appears to be a pretty clean cut however i havent found where the other end of the wire is.

This brings me to my ? The cover that the wire is attached to at the fan clutch spins freely, i can grab the wire and spin it 360 degrees, this is also what is causing the rattling sound behind the radiator. Is this piece supposed to be connected somehow or is it to spin freely?

Any help with this fix would be appriciated

Its suposed to spin...well stay still while the fan spins actually. Thats normal.
the other end should be plugged in close to the upper radiator hose at the engine.

Damn....Might need the engine harness end. Usually found near the top of the fan shroud.
