I just purchased a cat delete pipe for my fully stock 6.0 and currently have no plans for going to a 4 inch exhaust as im not trying to push the truck to hard performance wise so im not looking for power. I am buying an s&b intake because my stock one was messed up by whatever dummy was replacing the air filter before. He lost clips and it just aint sealing right so i figure why not aftermarket. Question is, will i get a slight noise difference with just the cat delete and stock muffler? I dont want to wake the neighbors as im still in an apartment complex. Thank you for any input

It will be louder but not much and that depends on what year your truck is as well.....you may not even notice a difference unless you are WOT or getting on the pedal hard.

What you might get is a drone at a certain RPM range.

When I was messing with my exhaust on my 2004 and 2006 f350 the cat delete was the biggest difference. Even leaving the muffler on you'll notice an ever so slight reduction in egts and just a tad bit lower rpm bump in performance. Initially I just removed the muffler and it did increase the sound but the cat was what really held the sound back. Going full straight pipe is not recommended if you don't like the sound.

i'd get a 4in exhaust and a 4in resonator. its KIND OF like a muffler but mostly reduces the sound not performance etc. but I've only seen them for 4in and larger etc.

Yeah i was eyeballing the diamond eye system. My major issue is that i need to smog every 2 years. Might try to find a system that can incorporate the cat and just bolt it up every 2 years or use reducers and make it myself

I bought my 2006 new. About a week later I put a 4" turbo back on , No muffler , no cat. No tunes. The 4" pipe lowers the EGT and its not loud inside. Adding a 4" to any 6.0 is a good thing and lower EGT is a great thing.
