Hi All,

Question for everyone, I was laying underneath the truck last night looking around since my ESOF hubs are not working and saw soot/exhaust on the block around all 4 cylinders at the exhaust manifold on the passenger side. I didn't have a chance to look at the driver's side. Anyone noticed something similar or am I finding an issue I didn't want to find? No known issues with the truck and it's running strong but am worried I'm leaking exhaust at the manifold and shouldn't be.

Thanks,
Eric

The manifolds will usually only leak cold then seal right up after the engine warms. They are not equipped with gaskets from the factory.

If you're noticing a smell or noise you can remove the manifolds and add gaskets. It's usually more trouble than it's worth.

I changed a cracked manafold on an 03 a few years ago. I would rather not do that job again. Yuck.
