My first Diesel. 2020 F250 6.7 Powerstroke. Now have 2500 miles on it. Three times while the truck has been idling it has gone from it‘s normal 600 RPM (approx.) to 1000 RPM. Don’t see any messages on the dash. Last time it stayed for over three minutes until I tapped the accelerator and it went back to 600 rpm. It has done it right after start up, after driving for 15-20 minutes etc...
Is this normal?
Would it do this during Regen? If at idle instead of highway speed.
No messages on engine pages. Monthly report shows no issues.
I called FORD and they said they were not a technical contact ....I would have to take it in to have it diagnosed. Just trying to see if this warrants a shop visit or if this is just something the computer does for various reasons.
