Ok so i have a 2003 f-250 7.3 and i spent all day tearing it apart to replace the up pipe gaskets, install a ww, and gauges. I got all done and started the truck and it ran fine but the gauges did some weird stuff and so did the wipers and washer. One gauge was on before i started the truck, then i started it and both gauges lit up and looked fine but when i turned my lights on my left turn signal was on solid and my windshield washer was goin and couldn't turn it off and the wipers ran very slow. I shut it down and looked under the hood and the alternator was hot. My friend wired up the gauges while i worked on the turbo so i have now idea what he did with wiring. I disconnected everything he said he did and nothing changed. I know he did short out the hot goin to the brake controller and took out the fuse.
