Got the pipe out, did snap the front top bolt.😬 Is the bolt a dealer part?
Also the plastic air intake, will carb cleaner damage it? Should or can I replace the seal's ?

The bolt is a dealer item, and the intake gaskets should be replaced - Ford warranty insists that we do any time the manifold comes off as per the WSM. However, if the truck is fairly new you could simply wipe them clean and reuse them if an inspection finds them still soft and not flattened. If your 2012 engine has never had the manifold off, I recommend replacing them.

The bolts by the way are 6mm X 1.0 X 40mm if you need to source them elsewhere. They don't necessarily need to be 40mm long. thread length of 30mm is all you need to know.

Got gaskets from autozone $40 Bolts @ dealer $10 ea 😣 for a bolt. better to only do this once than short cut it.
should anti-seize be put on the 4 bolts on EGR pipe?

I am not sure anti-seize actually helps or how much. I tend to use it on those bolts, but I have never had to disassemble one I worked on previously that I can remember.

Got it replaced. drilling out the bolt is a pain. picked up 3 ea of 2 different harden bits, center punched the broken bolt & was able to drill out with out damaging threads. used tap to chase threads & remove what was left. 3hrs later done.
What is best way to clean soot off engine area?
