ok I'm on my way to do the egr delete , I have receive my parts , but is there any gasket, bolts , or other than the ones in the kit that I should have buy befrore doing the job . also is there any trick I should know before begining thanks

Dont be scurred with getting that turbo off or any band clamps off. Be hard with them if you have to. I would just go ahead and get a set of intake manifold gaskets so that way you can just pull it off to get the cooler out. It was a lot easier for me when I did it and I would swap the oil cooler while your in there and switch to an ELC with a coolant filter. JMO.

Agreed. It's possible to do it without removing the intake but ain't easier. Get it out of the way and do the job right the first time.

You should be good that way.

This would all depend on what you ECT/EOT delta is, along with that year truck you have.

If your gonna be doing the EGR delete and have most of the top of the motor apart, if your ECT/EOT delta is out of temp tolerance, then you should also replace the oil cooler while your at it.

Depending on what year truck you have, there are upgrades/preventive failure parts to replace while you have it apart. If sure would suck to just do a EGR delete, and have to pull the motor apart again 2 months later do to a STC fitting failure or a ripped HPOP nylon screen causing IPR issues. See where I'm going with this!

I would suggest buying the turbo rebuild gasket kit. It is $17 and it comes with new pedestal bolts and gaskets for the turbo oil drain. You don't want to use the old mounting bolts.It comes with bearings for the turbo if you are feeling froggy and want to jump into that. It's not difficult though and could most likely use a cleaning anyways.

i did mine today without removing the intake. remove the passenger bolts and just loosen the drivers side and pick up on the intake as you pull the cooler out from the rear.
get som penetrating oil for all the exhaust bolts and make sure you have a wobble socket and quite a few extentions to get the hard to reach bolts.
an extra set of hands always help, best tip that was ever given to me is when you hit a hard spot and getting frustrated, walk away for 30 min and come back with a clear mind.

If you are in that far , pull the intake and put in a new oil cooler core !!!
Look on e-bay ..I bought my Cooler kit w/gaskets for under $200

its REALLY EASY to do and only takes a couple more hours

3C3Z-9T514-AD is the part number for the "turbo mounting hardware kit."

The three things that come with the kit that appear that they could be bearings are actually spacers. The 03 turbo and pedestal is different and requires spacers to properly mount the turbo to the pedestal. If you do not have an '03 turbo/pedestal, throw those things away. The kit is meant to fit all years.

While your at it pressure wash your intake out or have it cleaned at a machine shop to get rid of all the soot from the EGR system.
